Atlanta Film Studios Takes Vacation

Vacation - Atlanta Film Studios

A brand new feature has taken up residence at Atlanta Film Studios in Paulding County. The Warner’s Bros reboot of the wildly successful “Vacation” series will be filming through the end of November at the facility. Ed Helms and Christina Applegate will star in “Vacation” and Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo will also reprise their roles. “Vacation” is written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein.

This production comes on the heels of the recently departed production, “Fake Off”, a brand new competition TV series slated to air this fall on TruTV. Additionally, Atlanta Film Studios previously hosted the Warner Bros. / Legendary Pictures feature “42” and the AMC original TV series “Halt And Catch Fire”.

IBA Executive Director Blake Swafford commented, “Paulding County is thrilled to welcome Warner Bros back to Atlanta Film Studios and our community with “Vacation”. AFS loves being a part of a new beginning for this iconic movie franchise.”

Atlanta Film Studios is located just 22 miles northwest of Atlanta city center. The facility has (2) 20,000 sq. ft. sound stages, 11,000 sq ft of office space, 32,000 sq ft of mill space and a full complement of the finest production services.
